We've been on an incredible journey, expanding and evolving to bring you something truly special. Garden Route Family Experiences (Formerly known as the Garden Route 4×4 Expo), began with a vision to create a space where families could enjoy a range of unique activities year-round. At the heart of our new identity is a commitment to family, and we're thrilled to announce that Bartelsfontein will now host an array of family centred events throughout the year! From exciting exhibitions and activities to seasonal celebrations, there's something uniquely thrilling for everyone, no matter the time of year. Our Evolution Our roots trace back to the inception of the Outdoor show. In 2021, and since then, we’ve been expanding our horizons.
Kids & Family Zone
Where Little Feet and Big Smiles Meet
The Kids & Family Zone is where fun, imagination and creativity come together for all ages. This lively space is packed with free, family-friendly activities that keep little ones entertained while parents relax or join in the fun.
Children can enjoy giant jumping castles, a kiddies cycling track, hopscotch games, face painting, mini quad bike rides, treasure hunts and hands-on creative workshops. It’s a safe and welcoming space designed to inspire play, movement and exploration.
Please note: While supervision is available, parents and guardians remain responsible for their children at all times. Activities are used at your own risk. The Kids & Family Zone is all about laughter, connection and making lasting memories together.

Test your skill, speed, and grit across our rugged Rally Sprint route or feel the rush on the Dirt Drag strip designed for high energy action and heart pounding fun. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s where you come to push limits.
Spectators are always welcome to line the tracks, cheer on the chaos, and soak up the dust. The 4x4 track is where engines roar and memories are made.
